The Moon Occults Venus in daylight on 5 March 2008
In this image, Venus has emerged from behind the Moon after its occultation shortly after noon on March 5th. The Sun was less than 25 degrees away. This shot was taken at the Garcia Observatory in Riverside, California with a Canon 350D through a TeleVue 60is. It is a stack of three exposures ranging from 1/800 to 1/1200 of a second. Thanks to my co-imager, Richard Garcia.
