M13 - Great Hercules Cluster

M13 is one of the most famous globular clusters in the sky; it contains tens of thousands of stars. This image was taken at GMARS in August 2008 through a WO 80mm FD with an SBIG ST2000XCM. Captured in Equinox Image and processed entirely on a Mac in Nebulosity 2.0, Photoshop CS3 and Leopard Preview. Check out the small galaxy in the upper right-hand corner; it is many thousands of times further away than M13.
